IDAHO MAN CHARGED ON METH/DUII CHARGES

An Idaho man was jailed on drug and intoxication charges on Friday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:50 p.m. the 49-year old from Parma was contacted at Boulder Flat Campground along Highway 138 about 50 miles east of Roseburg after a deputy noticed suspicious activity while the man was driving.

The suspect was found to be heavily under the influence of drugs. K9 Trapper was deployed and gave a positive alert. The man failed standard field sobriety tests and was arrested.

The report said 11 grams of methamphetamine was allegedly located in the vehicle. The man reportedly admitted to putting the drug in his coffee. He was taken to corrections where he allegedly blew .00. He refused urine and further evaluation. The man was charged with DUII controlled substance and unlawful possession of meth. He was detained without bail.
