A Roseburg woman was cited following a traffic stop early Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 12:05 a.m. an officer stopped the 57-year old for traffic violations near the intersection of Southeast Rice Street and Southeast Hamilton Street.

During the stop, the woman allegedly gave the officer her sister’s name. The officer later identified the driver who then reportedly admitted to providing a false name. The woman said she didn’t want to receive another suspended license ticket as she was close to obtaining her driver license again.

The driver was cited for giving false information, failure to carry or present, driving while suspended-violation, driving uninsured, and for failure of a previous violator to file. The woman was released after being cited.
