Sutherlin Police charged a man with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Tuesday.

An SPD report at 5:30 p.m. an officer located a stolen vehicle at the intersection of West Central Avenue and Ponderosa Drive. The SUV traveled northbound on Interstate 5 and a second officer responded to assist. A traffic stop was conducted at the Oakland interchange.

The 30-year old from Salem was taken into custody and detained without bail.
