WIND ADVISORY THROUGH 7:00 P.M. WEDNESDAY

A Wind Advisory remains in effect through 7:00 p.m. Wednesday for parts of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said southeast winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour are expected.

The Advisory area includes central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, along with Josephine County and eastern Curry County. It applies to areas of Douglas County above 2,000 feet including portions of Interstate 5 near Canyon Mountain Pass, Highway 138 and the communities of Steamboat, Toketee Falls and Azalea.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
