WIND ADVISORY FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday through 7:00 p.m. Wednesday for parts of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the Advisory area includes central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, along with Curry and Josephine counties. It applies to areas above 2000 feet including portions of Interstate 5 near Canyon Mountain Pass, Highway 138 and the communities of Steamboat, Toketee Falls and Azalea.

Southeast winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour are expected. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
