The driver was injured after a single-vehicle crash on Sunday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 4:35 p.m. the 41-year old was traveling west in the 2000 block of Del Rio Road when her vehicle left the opposite side of the road, crashing through a mailbox and shearing off a pole before coming to rest in a bush.

A deputy was able to speak to the woman before she was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center by ambulance. The driver said she fell asleep and did not remember the crash. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
