Sutherlin Police jailed two men after a reported theft incident on Tuesday.

An SPD report said at approximately 11:15 a.m. the 46 and 48-year old men were allegedly caught on video stealing from a business in the 500 block of West Central Avenue. They were located down the road and were taken into custody.

While doing so, methamphetamine was allegedly found on both of the suspects. Once at corrections, an additional bag of meth was reportedly on the 46-year old after he had been warned about introducing further contraband at the jail.

Both were charged with third-degree theft and cited for meth. The 46-year old was also charged with introducing contraband. They were each detained without bail.
