A Roseburg man was arrested for an alleged menacing incident on Friday night.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 10:30 p.m. a 25-year old man and the victim got their vehicle stuck on Akin Road near Julian Lane in the Winchester area.
The report said this caused an argument where the suspect allegedly threw the victim to the ground, got on top of her and called her bad names. The victim then got into the vehicle and locked the doors. The suspect then reportedly picked up a large rock and bashed the driver’s window until it broke. The man then allegedly ran from the scene. He was eventually located in some dense vegetation, laying down near a tree.
The man was charged with menacing and was taken into custody. He was detained without bail.
