WILDLIFE SAFARI HOLDING DOUGLAS COUNTY APPRECIATION DAY

Wildlife Safari is holding a Douglas County Appreciation Day event on Monday.

*Free drive through for county residents with proof of residency not required

*Buy one get one 50% off on all encounters including special elephant and tiger encounters

*The Elephant Open House will run from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The last bus will leave the village to go to the barn at 1:30 p.m. It will return at 2:00 p.m. Admission ticket to the open house comes with a canvas that the guest can paint, while the elephant will paint the other half of it

*The Tiger Enrichment Encounter will be at 2:30 p.m. Guests will get the chance to put pre-made enrichment in the yard and then watch as tigers get let out to explore and find their treats

*Free keeper chats will be held throughout the day in the Safari Village

*Safari will be highlighting some renovations going on, including the petting zoo renovation. The floors are being redone in the Safari Grill, however it will be open for the event
