As of 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Interstate 5 northbound has reopened about 12 miles north of Eugene following a commercial vehicle crash.
Information from the Oregon Department of Transportation said the Willamette Valley is seeing freezing rain and ice on the roads. Multiple crashes have taken place between Eugene and Albany. With low temperatures forecast to persist through the weekend, icy conditions are expected. Drivers should cancel or delay any trips, if possible.
