Roseburg Police cited a man for driving under the influence of intoxicants on Thursday night.

An RPD report said at 9:20 p.m. officers responded to a gas station in the 2600 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard after a caller said that an intoxicated driver was asleep at that location.

Officers arrived and initially couldn’t wake up the driver. Once they were able to wake him up, the 23-year old man was allegedly visibly intoxicated. He later reportedly admitted to using fentanyl. The man performed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. His vehicle was left at the scene and a urine sample was collected. He was released to a sober driver after the citation was issued.
