WORKSHOP OFFERED FOR BEE KEEPERS

The Oregon State University Extension Service and the Umpqua Valley Beekeepers Association will have a Beekeeping 101 workshop on Saturday, February 10th.

The workshop will take place in the OSU Extension office auditorium from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

It is for those who already keep bees and those who have been interested, but didn’t know where to start. Participants will learn about the fundamentals of beekeeping, hive design and management, equipment procurement, safety, appropriate pesticide use and alternatives.
