Roseburg Police cited two women for offensive littering on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. officers contacted the 38-year old and 26-year old while posting camps for cleanup in the 2400 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The officers observed that their camp covered an approximate twenty by twenty-foot area.

The report said the majority of their trash was in the center of a large puddle of water directly next to their tent. They admitted the mess was unacceptable and were issued citations. The women were provided with trash bags and instructed to clean up their mess.
