Ticket sales continue for the 52nd annual Greatest of the Grape event on Saturday February 3rd at Seven Feathers Casino Resort in Canyonville.
Known as “Oregon’s oldest wine celebration”, it attracts visitors from all over the northwest. The event is hosted by the Umpqua Valley Wine Growers Association and will be the non-profit organization’s largest fundraiser of the year.
The event will feature over 15 Umpqua Valley wineries, with most of the wines being poured by the winemakers themselves.
Food will be catered by Seven Feathers Casino Resort, with special appetizers created to match the diversity of the wines produced in the Umpqua Valley region. Featured music group, That Other Band will play a danceable variety of funk, R&B, rock and pop music.
In addition to wine tasting, guests will have a chance to bid on unique wine-related items in the silent auction and take a spin on the Wheel of Wine.
Attendees are invited to vote for their favorite red and white wines. Later in the evening it will be announced which winery has won the “Greatest of the Grape” award.
Executive Director of the Umpqua Valley Wine Growers Association Ali Rodgers said she is excited the event is returning to Seven Feathers.
It runs from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Those looking for more time to taste wine and visit with winemakers, can purchase a VIP ticket and get into the event at 5:00 p.m.
