Wildlife Safari is making next Monday Douglas County Appreciation Day and is having a variety of special deals.
Highlights include:
*Free drive through for Douglas County residents. Proof of residency is not required.
*Buy one get one 50 percent off for all encounters, including special elephant and tiger encounters
*The Elephant Open House will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The last bus will leave the village to go to the barn at 1:30 p.m. It will return at 2:00 p.m. An admission ticket to the event will come with a canvas so the guest can color half of it while the elephant paints the other half
*The Tiger Enrichment Encounter will be at 2:30 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to put premade enrichment in the yard and then watch the tigers get let out to explore and find their treats
*Keeper chats will be happening throughout the day in the Safari Village
*The game park is highlighting some renovations going on, including the petting zoo renovation which is ongoing. Floors in the Safari Grill are being re-done but it will be open that day
