A Reedsport woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 3:00 p.m. a sedan was westbound on Highway 38, about two and a half miles east of Elkton. The vehicle was westbound when it hydroplaned on wet pavement. The driver could not regain control and the sedan went off the westbound shoulder. Due to the steep embankment, the vehicle rolled one time, coming to an uncontrolled rest on the wheels.

A witness stated that the vehicle did not appear to have been driven erratically prior to the crash. The elderly driver and her dog were given a courtesy ride to her residence. Once there, the driver was feeling the effects of the crash and asked for a courtesy ride to the emergency room.
