OSU EXTENSION HAS SOIL MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP IN JANUARY

The Oregon State University Extension Service and Umpqua Soil Water Conservation District will offer a Soil Management 101 workshop on January 20th.

It will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Winchester Bay Community Center in Winchester Bay.

During this workshop, participants will learn about soil management for increased crop production, livestock management, and soil conservation. Attendees will get information about taking and interpreting soil samples and the services that are available at the Soil Water Conservation Service. This workshop will also cover some of the differences in soil management in coastal regions and what it means for the production of crops, livestock and conservation.

The in-person workshop will cost $10 to attend. Registration is required by January 15th. Carpooling is encouraged as parking may be limited.
