A Roseburg woman was cited for an alleged DUII incident late Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 11:45 p.m. an SUV was called in after allegedly running a stop sign on Clearwater Court near Del Rio Road. The vehicle crashed into a yard on the other side of Del Rio.

The caller was not sure who was driving but believed the two people in the SUV were talking about who would be the driver. The caller advised that he believed the male occupant was not the one who had been driving.

A deputy arrived on the scene and contacted both people with the vehicle. The man very quickly stated that woman had been driving but he did not think she was intoxicated. While speaking with the woman, she reportedly stated that she hadn’t been driving but wouldn’t say who was. Deputies noticed that were footprints matching the man’s boots on the passenger side of the vehicle leading to the roadway. The boot prints were not located on the driver’s side. It also appeared that the driver’s seat in the vehicle was set for a 5-foot 3-inch person like the woman.

The woman continued to say she hadn’t been driving but agreed to take standard field sobriety tests. She reportedly performed poorly and was taken into custody for DUII. At the jail, she allegedly provided a blood alcohol level of .20 which is two and a half times the legal limit for intoxication.

The woman was cited for DUII-alcohol and was released at Corrections.
