The Roseburg’s Lions Club has its See’s candy sale underway to benefit the local community.

Candy sales began November 27th and will continue through December 24th, or until the candy sells out. The Lion’s bright yellow candy trailer is in the northwest corner of Sherm’s Thunderbird parking lot on Northwest Stewart Parkway in Roseburg. Hours are daily 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

100 percent of the profits from candy sales are used for the club’s projects to assist people locally. Over the years, the Lions Club has donated or contributed monies to help with local sight and hearing recipients, various youth organizations, cancer research and assistance, Umpqua Community College scholarships, flags for first graders, and the Santa Sleigh Program to help children receive gifts and clothes at Christmas time.

Providing sight and hearing assistance to the most vulnerable members of the community continues to be the primary mission of the Lion’s Club. Residents are also welcome to bring their used eye glasses to the candy trailer.
