A Roseburg man was taken to the hospital after a longboard versus vehicle accident on Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 1:45 p.m. a Sutherlin man was driving a large SUV east on Southeast Mosher Avenue and stopped at the intersection with Southeast Stephens Street. The man traveled through the intersection, after clearing it, then heard something hit his vehicle.

The driver pulled over and saw a man on the ground. The pedestrian was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. He was contacted at Mercy and said he was longboarding on Southeast Stephens and saw the vehicle traveling through the intersection but was unable to avoid hitting it.

No citations were issued.
