One man was taken to the hospital after a vehicle fire on Monday.

An Oregon State Police report said shortly after 9:00 a.m. a motorhome pulling a sedan was headed southbound on Interstate 5 just north of the Yoncalla/Drain exit, when the engine compartment of the sedan caught fire for an unknown reason. The operator of the motorhome attempted to unhook the sedan but was unable to. The fire spread to the rear of the motorhome.

North Douglas Fire and EMS responded to the incident and extinguished the fire. The owner of the vehicles had minor burns to his arms. He was given a ride to CHI Mercy Medical Center.
