SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOLLOWING ALLEGED DISORDERLY CONDUCT INCIDENT

Sutherlin Police jailed a woman following an alleged disorderly conduct incident Thursday night.

An SPD report said at 7:30 p.m. officers responded to the 800 block of Landing Street. A 28-year old and her girlfriend have been living in a tent on the property for the last 3 months. A neighbor called them in for yelling loudly. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect who allegedly became verbally and physically confrontational, clinching her fist, puffing her chest and posturing

After attempting to gain identification for the woman, she was taken into custody. While being handcuffed, the suspect was reportedly resisting arrest by keeping her left arm to her chest and failing to bring her right arm to the small of her back. After being cuffed without further incident, she was taken to corrections.

The woman was charged with resisting arrest and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $8,750.
