Roseburg had a record high temperature for the date on Tuesday.

Data from the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 67 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous record for December 5th was 61 degrees, set in 2015. The record propelled Tuesday to now being the 6th warmest December day in Roseburg history, beating out Monday’s previous status as the 6th warmest day with a high of 66 degrees.

The all-time warmest day in Roseburg in December was on December 21st, 1940 when the high was 70 degrees.

A cold front hitting the area means high temperatures in the Umpqua Valley are expected to drop to the mid to upper 40s through Saturday.
