Douglas C.A.R.E.S. is offering a class on the basics of child abuse medicine later this month.
A release said it is an interactive training for medical professionals working with children and families. A doctor with Oregon Child Abuse Solutions Medical Academy will have information on what to do if child abuse is suspected, how to know when to call child welfare or law enforcement, how to identify a Karly’s Law case and more.
The class is being offered Tuesday December 19th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Thursday December 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It will be held at the Ford Family Foundation on Northwest Stewart Parkway. For more information or to register, call 957-5646.
