Monday was a much warmer day than normal for the month of December in Roseburg, though no record high was set.

Data from the National Weather Service said it got to 66 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That ties for the 6th warmest day ever for the month in Roseburg history. Forecasters said records go back to 1900.  The last two times the high reached 66 degrees in December were back to back dates in 2015 – December 8th and 9th. The warmest temperature ever reached during a December day in Roseburg was 70 degrees, which happened in 1940.

High temperatures will cool by a few degrees on Tuesday. By Thursday highs are expected to only be in the 40s with rain remaining in the forecast.
