November 30, 2023 9:30 a.m.

A Roseburg man was jailed by Roseburg Police following a traffic stop early Thursday.

An RPD report said just after 12:35 a.m. the 37-year old was contacted in the 1900 block of Southeast Stephens Street after he was observed committing a traffic violation on Southeast Pine Street. His license was suspended and he returned as being on parole through Douglas County Community Corrections, with a no alcohol clause.

The man was not impaired but had consumed alcohol, which violated his parole conditions. His parole officer requested that the man be arrested. The owner of the vehicle came to pick it up. The man was detained without bail.
