Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported assault incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 6:00 p.m. the 39-year old allegedly injured a victim, causing her to have several visible injuries. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Southeast Lane Avenue.

The victim was unable to walk straight or take a deep breath due to her ribs being injured. She reportedly had severe swelling and bruising on her hand as well.

The suspect was charged with fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was detained on $6,250 bail.
