The Oregon State University Extension Service 4-H in partnership with Douglas Education Service District, is hosting a QPR suicide prevention class on Wednesday December 13th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
It will be held at the Douglas County Extension Office on Southeast Douglas, just east of the courthouse.
QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer and is suicide prevention training designed to give every member of the community the confidence and capacity to help someone at risk for suicide.
The organizations have partnered to offer the training for free. 4-H leaders, community members, and parents can take this one-night class. It is being offered to adults age 18 and older.
