A Roseburg man was cited for a city ordinance violation by Roseburg Police on Monday.

An RPD report said just after 7:30 a.m. officers were requested to the 2400 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway by the Roseburg Fire Department regarding a man who had a open fire at that location. When officers arrived, the 57-year old was stepping on the burnt ground in an attempt to put out the fire.

The man was released after being cited for prohibited outdoor burning.
