DEPUTIES ARREST MAN FOR WARRANT IN THE MYRTLE CREEK AREA

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man who had a warrant for his arrest on Thursday.

A DCSO report said at 4:30 p.m. a deputy observed a sedan drive past him on Weaver Road in the Myrtle Creek area and then quickly turn onto Aviation Drive. The deputy checked the license plate and observed that the 31-year old driver had an active warrant. The deputy located the vehicle and contacted the driver. The man was taken into custody and transported without incident.

A small amount of methamphetamine and two syringes were allegedly located on his person. He was detained for the warrant and cited for the violation amount of meth. The man was jailed without bail.
