Covering coastal Douglas County:
A Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory remains in effect through 9:00 a.m. Friday and again from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Saturday for the south-central Oregon coast including parts of Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said near to sub-freezing temperatures are expected. Along the immediate coast, temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation. Further inland, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees are forecast.
Frost conditions are expected along the immediate coast from Coos Bay south to Port Orford early Friday, with more widespread frost forecast Saturday from north of Reedsport down to Port Orford. Freezing conditions through much of inland Coos County including Myrtle Point are expected on Friday, expanding to include Coos Bay, Coquille and Powers on Saturday.
Forecasters said frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and may possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
