Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a transient following an alleged theft incident on Saturday.

A DCSO report said at 7:00 p.m. while at a business in the 4600 block of Carnes Road in Green on an unrelated call, deputies were informed that a woman had stolen a hoodie and left without paying for anything. The 23-year old was contacted. She lifted her arm and accidently displayed the hoodie. The suspect said she accidently stole the hoodie and didn’t mean too.

The woman was taken into custody and charged with third-degree theft. She was detained without bail and was released on Sunday.
