ROSEBURG POLICE CITE FOUR PEOPLE FOR PROHIBITED CAMPING

Roseburg Police cited four people for prohibited camping in three incidents on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. a 57-year man was contacted at his camp at Templin Beach Park in the 100 block of Southeast Templin Avenue. The man admitted he was aware of the recent camping ordinance, and knew his camp was in violation.

At 10:30 a.m. a 59-year old man was contacted in his camp along the bicycle path at the south end of Deer Creek Park in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. His camp did not comply with the city ordinance, according to the report.

At 1:50 p.m. a 41-year old man and a 35-year old woman were contacted regarding the status of their camp near the intersection of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard and Northwest Renann Avenue. This camp was also reportedly not in compliance with the Time, Place and Manner ordinance.

The four people were each released after being issued citations.
