Winston Police jailed a man Tuesday after an investigation into some recent thefts from motor vehicles in the Winston and Green area.

Sergeant Mike Miller said 27-year old Trevor Slater was determined to be the suspect. He was taken into custody at his residence at around 3:00 p.m. Slater was detained on 13 charges including: 3 counts each of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree theft and computer crime, 2 counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, and 1 count each of second-degree forgery and third-degree theft.

Slater was detained on $7,500 bail.
