A skateboarder was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 7:00 p.m. a motorist was driving through an intersection in the 400 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard while her traffic light was green. A juvenile was on the skateboard and continued through the intersection after his light was turning red.

The sedan struck the juvenile who sustained minor injuries. The juvenile was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center.

Information was exchanged. The juvenile’s mother was contacted. Neither party desired enforcement so no citations were issued.
