Sutherlin Police jailed a man for alleged harassment early Thursday evening.

An SPD report said at 5:05 p.m. the 55-year old allegedly slapped a victim during an argument in the 100 block of East 4th Avenue. The incident was reportedly witnessed by another person at the residence.

The suspect was charged with harassment. He was detained without bail.
