VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED FOR MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY

Volunteers are still needed for the second annual Make a Difference Day- Douglas County event coming up on October 28th.

Make a Difference Day is a nationwide annual day of service, organized locally by a group of community service leaders to promote volunteerism.

Volunteers are still needed for about a dozen projects around the area. Many of them involve landscaping and beautification work at local schools and nonprofits. A full list of projects and directions on how to sign up can be found at: https://makeadifferenceday.org. Volunteers can choose a project to work on during a four-hour shift from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The events primary sponsors include the United Community Action Network, Thrive Umpqua, Greater Douglas United Way, Roseburg Public Schools, Sunrise Enterprises and JustServe.
