Roseburg Police jailed two people after a reported assault incident on Saturday.

Information from RPD said at about 9:40 a.m. officers contacted the pair near a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Officers learned that the 34-year old woman had allegedly slashed a 28-year old man with a knife, causing minor lacerations to his forearm and head.

Within the incident, the man had reportedly slammed the woman against a shipping container and repeatedly punched her in the back.

Both were charged with assault in the 4th degree. The woman was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
