The Douglas County Museum Foundation is holding a fundraising event from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Author Linda Jones Weber, a longtime former resident of Roseburg and graduate of Roseburg High School, will present her new historical novel, “Finding Utopia” and will sign books that are purchased. Weber said 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the foundation with funds going to the restoration of the O&C railcar, which is currently sitting next to the old Dillard Station at the museum. Weber will answer questions and do a short reading from the soon to-be-published sequel, “Surviving Utopia”.

Light refreshments will be provided with wine available from Melrose Vineyards. All events at the museum are free of charge, but donations are encouraged. The museum is across the street from the fairgrounds on Museum Drive.
