Winston Police jailed a man after an alleged trespass incident Sunday night.

A WPD report said at about 8:45 p.m. 51-year old Jeffrey Hubbard was contacted after a caller said he was trespassing at the Purple Parrot in the 4600 block of Carnes Road in Green and would not leave. Hubbard reportedly refused to identify himself when he was contacted and when he was told that he was under arrest, the man allegedly attempted to flee.

Hubbard was taken into custody after he fought with officers. He was allegedly intoxicated on methamphetamine and was reportedly in possession of just over 4 grams of the drug. Officers discovered he is a registered sex offender who did not register properly. Hubbard was charged with resisting arrest, second-degree counts of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and for failure to register as a sex offender. Hubbard was detained without bail.
