The Douglas County Museum Foundation is having a fundraising event with author Linda Jones Weber on October 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Weber is a former longtime Roseburg resident and Roseburg High School graduate. She will present her new historical novel, Finding Utopia. She will sign books that are purchased, with 100 percent of the proceeds from sales donated to the foundation. This will go towards the restoration of the O&C railcar which is currently sitting next to the old Dillard Station at the museum.

Weber will also answer questions and do a reading from her soon-to-be-published sequel, Surviving Utopia. Light refreshments will be provided along with local wine. All events at the museum are free, but donations are encouraged and accepted.
