The Bureau of Land Management has lifted the emergency closure associated with the Chilcoot Fire, along Canton Creek and Pass Creek on lands administered by the BLM Roseburg District.
An order rescinding the closure went into effect at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Swiftwater Field Manager Michael Korn said, “We ask that the public continue to be cautious and watch for fire vehicle activity on the roadways”. Korn said that removing the closure will allow the public to access the Scaredman campground and day use area.
