Roseburg Police jailed two people for littering within 100 feet of waterways on Monday.

An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. officers responded to Stewart Park on Northwest Stewart Park Drive and contacted a 34-year old man and a 36-year woman at their camp. One of their dogs was off leash and allegedly tried to bite an officer. A taser was deployed on the dog, causing it to run away. The man was reportedly drinking a beer when they were contacted.

Along with being taken into custody, the man was cited for drinking in public while the woman was cited for a dog leash law violation. Both were detained without bail.
