ROSEBURG HAD RECORD BREAKING RAINFALL ON MONDAY

Roseburg had record breaking rainfall for the date on Monday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the Roseburg Regional Airport received 0.75 inches of rain between 1:00 a.m. Monday and 1:00 a.m. Tuesday. That is registered with daylight savings time. The previous record for September 25th was 0.42 inches of rain which was received in 1986.

Monday was also the wettest day Roseburg had in several months. Forecasters said the airport received 0.84 inches of rain on April 10th. Since then any daily rain has been less than what was registered on Monday.

More rain is in the forecast for the Umpqua Valley through Friday when conditions begin to dry up for several days.
