Roseburg Police jailed a woman for an alleged DUII incident Friday evening.

An RPD report said just after 8:20 p.m. the 37-year old allegedly swerved into another driver’s lane and struck the rear of his vehicle before pulling into Roseburg High School, in the 400 block of West Harvard Avenue.

The victim said he followed the woman into the parking lot and watched her park. He said he tried to contact her, but she got back into her car and hurried to a different spot. By the time he found the car, the driver was walking into the RHS stadium, so he called dispatch.

An officer contacted the woman by phone, but she refused to leave the stadium and denied driving. Officers eventually contacted the woman inside the stadium and determined that she was obviously impaired and had an alcoholic drink poured into her drinking cup.

The report said the woman lied several times but eventually admitted to driving, but denied hitting the other vehicle. She was taken to jail and charged with failure to perform the duties of a driver and for drinking in public. Bail was set at $16,250. She was released on Saturday.
