A Roseburg man was hospitalized after a van versus pedestrian accident early Monday evening.

A Roseburg Police report said at 5:45 p.m. the motorist was stopped in the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Rifle Range Street intending to turn left, but waiting for traffic. Once traffic cleared, he proceeded to turn left and failed to see the pedestrian in the crosswalk. The pedestrian was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with a complaint of leg and arm pain.

The van driver was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian. The vehicle did not need to be towed.
