Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Riddle man for an alleged DUII incident early Sunday.

A DCSO report said just before 1:30 a.m. a deputy observed a motorcyclist commit a traffic violation in the 200 block of Pruner Road in Riddle. The rider quickly pulled off the road, parked the bike and took off walking. When the deputy turned around to contact him, the suspect reportedly quickly jumped into the brush and laid in blackberries for about ten minutes. The 27-year old showed signs of impairment. He was taken into custody and transported to the Myrtle Creek Police Department. The suspect conducted standard field sobriety tests and performed poorly.

He was charged with felony counts of DUII and driving while suspended. The man was detained without bail.
