A transient was jailed for alleged disorderly conduct on Tuesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 8:40 p.m. the 38-year from the Myrtle Creek area was allegedly acting erratic and out of control behind a business in the 900 block of North Old Pacific Highway in Myrtle Creek. An employee said the man’s behavior was alarming and seemed unpredictable.

The suspect was detained. The report said he seemed to have little to no control over his body as he was being walked to a patrol vehicle. The man admitted he was using methamphetamine prior to the deputy’s arrival and believed that he got some “bad dope”. He was taken to jail but then was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center so he could be medically cleared. After going back to the jail, he was reportedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia and a violation amount of meth.

The man was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, and two counts of second-degree criminal trespass. He was held without bail. The man was cited for the violation amount of the drug.
