Local veterans will have a DC Stand Down at VFW Post #2468 located at 1127 Northeast Walnut Street in Roseburg, on Wednesday.

The event is for homeless veterans. Many vendors will be available to assist those in need of help with the Veterans Administration, or with issues like housing and clothing. A hot shower and laundry will be provided. For the Love of Paws will offer care and shots for dogs. The Stand Down will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m.
