Two people were cited by Roseburg Police after they were contacted in a city park on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. the 43-year old man and 37-year old woman had their camp set up in the brush along the edge of Newton Creek at Charles Gardiner Park in the 2600 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard.

The report said there was approximately three to four truckloads of trash and debris in the camp. Both people had already been warned about time, place and manner restrictions, which make the park off limits for camping at all times. Both were cited and released on scene for prohibited camping and depositing trash within one hundred yards of a waterway. They were also issued trash bags and instructed to clean up their mess.
